On 4 June the Capuchins of San Giovanni Rotondo received the order of the Holy Office of 2 June 1922 that around Padre Pio "be observed", avoiding any "singularity and noise", recommending that he celebrate mass at different times, "Preferably summo mane and in private", "do not give blessing to the people", "for no reason he should show the so-called stigmata, speak and kiss them".
