After his studies for the priesthood, in the Convents of Serracapriola and Montefusco, in 1910, Brother Pio was ordained a priest by Archbishop Paolo Schinosi at the Cathedral of Benevento.
He was ordained even if he was only 23, not withstanding the canon law rules that to be ordained one must be at least 24 years old.
